Announcements - Week of Sept. 18

Friday, Sept. 22 - 

STEM Club will meet today after school in Mrs. Meller’s science classroom.

Activity Period today will be for the Freshman class.  Freshmen will meet in the cafeteria.  All other students should report to homeroom.

The PHS Student Council invites you to join us in “Picnic in the Park.” Students in grades 7-12 should pick up their lunches in the cafeteria and then walk to the park to eat and enjoy the sunshine.  Please make sure to put trash in the trash cans.  A special thank you to Mrs. Bostelman and the cafeteria staff for making this event possible.

Driver education classes will be starting Oct. 3rd at Archbold High School.  Information can be picked up in the office or you can contract Craig Link at 419-266-9907 or clink@archboldschools.org.

Attention quiz team members:  This is a reminder to come to Ms. Droosz’s room at lunch on either Monday or Tuesday.

Seniors:  At the conclusion of morning announcements, please go to the cafeteria.

The varsity soccer team pulled out a 2 to 1 victory over Liberty Center last night at the Wide Water.  The varsity team returns to the field tomorrow as they travel to Cardinal Stritch High School.

The varsity golf team finished fourth yesterday at the BBC Golf Tournament with a score of 382.  Tommy McWatters and Max Leppelmeier earned 2nd team BBC Honors.  The golf team travels to Stryker.

The freshman volleyball team came from behind to defeat Edgerton last night 24-26, 25-21, 25-20.

The JV volleyball team and Varsity Volleyball team each won in straight sets at Fayette.  The JV won 25-11 and 25-21.  The varsity won 25-15, 25-9, and 25-5.  The JV and Varsity teams will travel to Liberty Center tomorrow for a tri-match with LC and Edgerton.

The varsity and junior cross country teams will be competing at the Liberty Center Invite at Wide Water Retreat Center tomorrow.

Good luck to all of our teams tonight and tomorrow.

Thursday, Sept. 21 - 

All class officers and student council members should report to the atrium for pictures promptly at 11:20 today.

STEM Club will meet after school tomorrow in Mrs. Meller’s science classroom.  Please see the Google doc that Mr. Waidelich had us share with you on Google Drive.  In the event of fog, STEM Club will still meet at 3:15.

High School quiz members should meet in Ms. Dorosz’s room today at lunch for an informational meeting.

Congratulations to the varsity soccer team for their 9-1 victory over Swanton last night. 

The junior high soccer team picked another home win last night over Emmanuel Christian by a score of 7-0.

Monday, Sept. 18 -

There will be girls’ basketball open gym tonight from 6:30-8:00 for girls in grades 7-12.

Cross Country Results from Saturday at Ottawa-Glandorf:

High School Girls:  Invitational Champion!!  All 5 girls were in the top 17 runners.

High School Boys:  Team 4th.  Max Leppelmeier and Logan Rufenacht led the Bird attack with places 5th and 8th.

Junior High Girls – Team 9th.  Karsyn Hostetler led the Lady Birds placing 14th.

Junior High Boys – Zach McWatters was the top Pettisville Runner at spot 74.

Congratulations to the soccer team in their 1-0 victory over Kalida Friday night.
