Friday, Sept. 8 - 

Sign up for the first STEM module this year continues this week.  If you want to find out more about Arduino technology, get your name on the list outside Mrs. Meller’s science classroom door.  Students with more Arduino experience are reminded to be prepared with a plan of something you want to build during the STEM sessions.

This coming Tuesday, September 12th, the National Honor Society will be sponsoring a one-day donation for victims of Hurricane Harvey.  Students that bring $1 to school will be allowed to wear a hat for the day.  Please give your dollar to your 1st period or homeroom teacher.

If you are planning to go to Cedar Point this Saturday or Sunday, or the following Saturday or Sunday, Cedar Point has sent us some slips for you and up to 6 adults to only pay $31 plus tax.  You can pick up these savings slips in the main office.

Cast members of “Flowers for Algernon” should pick up a rehearsal schedule for next week in the theatre.

Activity Period today will be for class meetings.  Sophomores will meet in the cafeteria for class meetings today.

The varsity soccer team picked up a road win last night at Wauseon by a score of 8-1.  The varsity team will host Toledo Christian on Tuesday at 5:00pm.

The varsity golf team was defeated by Antwerp and North Central in a tri-match last night at Ironwood.

The 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams were defeated in BBC play at Hilltop.  The JV volleyball team secured a BBC victory last night over visiting Hilltop.  In the varsity match, the Blackbirds won in straight sets 25-15, 25-17, and 25-9.  This victory marks the 200th win in Coach Horning’s career.  Coach Horning’s varsity coaching record stands at 200 wins and 77 losses with a BBC record of 102 wins and only 15 losses.  Congratulations to the volleyball program and Coach Horning.

Help provide items for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.  If you would like to donate, we will be collecting items at the Hilltop/Pettisville volleyball match today.  Those bringing any of the listed items will receive discounted admission into the match. (Adults - $3, Students - $2)

Wednesday, Sept. 6 -

The Pettisville Fair booth is in need of volunteers especially on Thursday evening, Sept. 7th.  We are inviting high school and 8th grade students along with adult family members to volunteer a shift at the booth.  All K-12 students benefit from the funds collected.  Check out the school’s newsletter to find a direct link to SignUp.com and information about signing up to volunteer.

High School Cross Country Results from Otsego Invitational:

*Girls – Team placed 3rd.  Nichole Foor was the overall winner.  Kate Stuber came in 7th and Sarah Foor was 11th.

*Boys – Team placed 3rd.  Max Leppelmeier was 4th and Logan Rufenacht was 6th.
