Friday, May 3 - 

The 2nd grade Consumer Fair is Tuesday, May 7th. Come check out the products that Pettisville’s creative 2nd graders have made.  Mother’s Day is just around the corner, who knows there may be a gift just right for your mom.  Hope to see you at the Consumer Fair.

The Quiz team will run the halls at exactly 10:10am today. Please have all students in the hallway at that time. Quiz team members should meet at the end of the south elementary hallway at the end of 2nd period.  Good luck at Nationals, Nerd Herd.

Morning Activity Period today will be for Class Meetings.

If you are planning to be in Pettisville Idol, you must sign up no later than this Friday. Each performer or group needs to do the following 3 things by the end of the day this Friday:  (a) Send a picture of yourself or your group to Jack Stuber at 19jstuber@pettisvilleschools.org; (b) When you send the picture to Jack, please include the name of your group and include the name of your performance – song title needed.  If you have any questions, see Jack Stuber or Mrs. Bacon.

Mr. John Poulson, Pettisville High School agriscience instructor and FFA advisor was just named Ohio’s first Golden Owl Award recipient as Ohio Ag Educator of the Year. The award is sponsored by Ohio FFA, Nationwide Insurance, and the Ohio Farm Bureau. Thank you, Mr. Poulson, for your years of dedication to our school, community, state, and nation.

Thursday, May 2 - 

Spanish Club Trip 2020 deposit is due Monday along with enrollment papers. These may all be turned in today, but no later than Monday, May 6. Be sure your entire name is spelled correctly and matches your passport name.

The 2nd grade Consumer Fair is Tuesday, May 7th. We have all kinds of items to buy. We will have a variety of items to choose, from bookmarks to key chains. Come check out what the 2nd graders have made. Proceeds are going to “Allie Strong.”

Attention 7th and 8th grade Writer’s Ink participants:  Please remember your permission slips and cookies or fruit for Friday.

High school quiz team members traveling to Nationals need to meet in Ms. Dorosz’s room today at lunch.

Wednesday, May 1 - 

Pettisville School is looking for 1 or 2 student workers for this summer. If you are a hard worker, self-motivated, able to work on your own, and are available to work a minimum of 6-7 weeks this summer, please see Dr. Switzer or Mr. Burkholder.

There will NOT be any morning rehearsals this week for Noteworthy members.

Detention today will be in Mr. Switzer’s room #206.

LUNCH MENU:  Beef Taco (K-6), Walking Taco (7-12), Rice, Lettuce, Cheese, Salsa, Beans, Fruit, Fruit Crisp (7-12).

There is a Spanish Club Trip 2020 parent meeting tonight at 8 pm in the theater immediately following the Jazz/Noteworthy concert. Students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We will discuss payment details and Costa Rica itinerary. 

Congratulations to the FCCLA members who went to the State Leadership Conference last week.  Results include: Kenzi Rivera – Gold medal and 3rd place in the state in Career Investigation; Zoe Bullano – Gold medal and 4th place in the state in Fashion Construction; Taylor Boger and Taylor Balser – Gold medal in Focus on Children; Kaylee Grimm – Silver medal in Sports Nutrition.  Taylor Boger, Taylor Balser, Zoe Bullano, and Kaylee Grimm all received Power of One Degrees.  Pettisville FCCLA was recognized for being one of ten Outstanding Chapters in Ohio.  The chapter was recognized for participation in a National Program.
